Limited by the traditional rigid glass spacer and technical design, the heating wire will be connected into the glass cavity through a hole in the spacer, so most electrically heated glass on the market cannot be filled with argon, not to mention 95% argon filling and keeping for 10years. 

Our R&D team has developed a new type of electrically heated glass door, which can achieve double-cavity argon filling with 95%~99%, improve the glass insulation performance efficiency by 20%+. 

Without heating, it can achieve the non-condensation effect under the conditions of 25℃, 60% relative humidity and - 23℃ temperature in the cooler/freezer/refrigerator cabinet. 

With the aid of small amount of electric heating, the effect of no condensation can be achieved in more harsh environment as -30~-45 ℃.

Heated glass doors consists of one layer of outside glass with electrically conductive coating film, and one or two layer of inside glass. With the power on, the outside layer of glass heats to prevent the formation of condensation or water droplets on the outer surface in hot and humid places.

Because the wire need to be connect to the silver paste on the EC coating film inside the glass cavity, a hole is usually founded on the glass spacers, which would lead to the argon gas loss and moisture penetration into the glass cavity. So argon gas filling is useless inside normal heated glass doors.


To make things worse, the glass door for the freezers will experiencing the sharp pumping effect during long time opening to replenish/fetch and closing during work. When the door is closed, the air inside the glass door will contracts with cold freezing temperature. When the door is opened, the air inside glass door cavity will swell with the hot temperature. This will make the glass door spacer’s air tightness fails soon, and soon the heated glass door will have the moisture coming into glass hollow cavity.

To overcome this challenge of argon leak in glass, we imported flexible spacer insulating glass line from Europe and designed a new type of heated glass, with silver paste connection outside the glass spacer and cavity, and could fill and keep 95-99% high argon inside glass.


With high argon 95-99% inside the 2 hollow cavities of the insulating glass, the insulation performance of the insulated glass is enhanced, the outside glass temperature is increased by 2-3 degrees(under frozen freezer) and 10degrees(with cooler) , thus lessens the heating watt used to heat outside glass pane to above dew point temperature, to avoid dew or condensation. 

We test with 2 layer of heated glass door, its performance could reach the performance of normal 3 layer heated glass.This will save one layer of glass and lessen the weight of the glass door, and lengthens the hinge life and saves frame thickness and strength design.

To make the design even better, we R&D designed heated glass of irregular shape, round shape glass, or glass with cut-out hole. Because our spacer for the glass is flexible and gas penetration proof and only one seamless joint in the spacer for the whole glass, 95-99% argon could be filled and kept inside the irregular insulating glass cavity. This glass is now used on vending machine door, merchandiser freezer, ice cream fridge etc.


Our heated insulated glass door will have initial argon filling percentage test, with handheld Sparklike argon test device, testing result between 95%-99%. Our glass is the only kind of glass door that passes EN-1279-2 Long term Moisture penetration test and EN-1279-3 Argon Gas rate and argon leak test.
